Stress management App

Vivamus Psychologists have developed a Stress Management Application

It may be a surprise to learn that stress is important – in fact we all need a certain degree of stress in our lives in order to function effectively and to manage successfully the many and varied demands on our time.

It’s probably not a surprise to learn that too much stress can cause problems – but so in fact can too little!

Recognising the importance of managing stress levels, and drawing on our considerable expertise in the field, Vivamus Psychologists have developed an application (app) designed to help the user to function at an optimal level of stress.  The app comprises effective and well-researched psychological techniques including CBT (cognitive-behaviour therapy).

The app will be beneficial if you are looking for something to help you in a particularly stressful moment, and can also help you to manage stress over the longer term.  It includes strategies to help people alter the physical manifestations of stress in the body, together with tools to address the cognitive, emotional and behavioural aspects to stress. The assessment tool means the user can monitor their stress levels over time.

As well as being an excellent tool for anyone wanting to manage stress, the app is also an excellent resource for therapists, counsellors and psychologists who are helping their clients.

The app is now available for download on the most popular platforms:

  1. In the iTunes App Store for iPhone and iPad (Apple)
  2. On Google Play for Android devices

You can also follow our specific stress management Twitter account for more information about the app

All Vivamus Psychologists are registered with the Health Care and Professions Council and hold a practising certificate through the British Psychological Society and are bound by the society’s code of conduct and ethical principles.
